PUEBLO HOUSE

Location: Colorado City, Colorado

The challenge of designing this single family home was to provide introspective interior and exterior spaces, while capturing the backdrop of expansive views provided at the site, and creating a connection with the fresh air and dramatic natural light. Our response was to pull apart the walls to create outdoor "rooms” that had an open connection with the main living space, and to provide large tall swaths of transparency to maintain sightlines onto the nearby hogbacks and mountain peaks. The home retains a strong sense of privacy while allowing for views, passive solar and cross ventilation.
